I’m an anthropology undergraduate in the Interdisciplinary Honors Program at the University of Washington. I connect language fieldwork in Southwest China with the study of Zhuang manuscripts and Southeast Asian writing traditions.
My Gelao and Zhuang heritage is where these questions began.
