中文简介 Chinese introduction
阅读77条古籍研究(可切换中英文)My Gelao and Zhuang heritage first drew me toward the stories that risk slipping out of view. In Southwest China, that interest took me into mountain villages, family homes, and conversations across languages.
Alongside fieldwork, I study manuscripts: how they are written, what they carry, and how we can make them readable for new audiences. Oral histories and ancient texts offer different ways of approaching the same question—how people pass a world on.
The manuscript study began in the Yuanpei program and is still the work I return to. Each paper carries a question forward and tests the next one. Follow Cultural Rhythms of Writing
Now at the University of Washington in Seattle, I am part of the Interdisciplinary Honors Program and intend to pursue a B.A. in Anthropology. This website continues with me: a place for research, personal observations, and public life.

WHY ANTHROPOLOGY
Where these questions began
