Analysis in the August edition
Large main-text characters, small Zhuang / Nôm parallel readings, and vertical strokes marking gaps make this a strong case of active preservation: the framework is retained while its means of readability change. The Mencius material suggests that classical authority was reorganized within local teaching / ritual practice, though the specific quotations still require verification.
Evidence limits and unresolved readings
Do not automatically expand the date to ‘Guangxu year 18’. Large traditional Chinese characters and small Zhuang / Nôm characters or vertical strokes form a parallel-reading layer.
