This is the corrected August working catalogue, not a final physical bibliography. Later September re-readings are presented separately in the GSS research dossier. Dating candidates, locations, interpretations, and unresolved readings are preserved as distinct evidence layers.
The English commentary accompanies the preserved Chinese record. Quoted historical wording and unidentified characters are retained; candidate readings remain provisional.

Duy Tân year 5, wuwu (戊午), copying recorded. Embedded documents include dates in Thành Thái years 14 and 16.
Dating candidates in the August edition
Unresolved: 1911 conflicts with 1918.
Dating rationale
Duy Tân year 5 should be 1911, but wuwu is 1918. Documents within the book dated Thành Thái years 14 and 16 correspond to about 1902 and 1904. These are dates of incorporated documents, not necessarily the completion date of the whole volume.

Historical geography and its limits
First provisional sequence: Hà Giang region → Bắc Quang district → Bằng Hành canton → Hướng Minh commune → Zhonghe village (忠和村). Second: Vĩnh Tuy district → Trinh Tường canton → Hướng Minh commune → Zhonghe village → Langwang / Langhuang shop (郎旺/郎晃店). Each combination requires separate checking against historical registers; do not combine them into a single route.

Analysis in the August edition
Documentary templates, everyday vocabulary, and verse together form a multifunctional knowledge collection. Embedded documents preserve ways of expressing social relationships. The conflicting main date underlines the need to distinguish dates of copied contents, compilation of the volume, and later use.
Evidence limits and unresolved readings
The main date requires the original page. Dates inside incorporated documents do not date the copying of the whole volume.

为立策词押咒每养有看用：承授黄绍馨记字直；维新五岁戊午年立抄；本书有非常多的内容，有对生活词汇的记录，如节气时令，中文诗句：朝辞白帝彩云间，千里江山一日还；姑苏城外寒山寺，夜半钟声到客船；有官名，蔬果名，花鸟虫鱼和动物名，甚至还有对联等等，类似上一本书；然后书中记录了很多词；其中一个我节选：词保护社看用：成泰十四年某月某日某时：北光县憑衡总向铭社忠和村副里阮文某，舊老阮文某，村长鄧文某，上下全村等，为立结保；此后还有许多日期出现和别的记词出现：词呈里长孝事杀牛用看(节选): 成泰十四年三月二十三日，本社杜文某记，永绥县禎祥总向铭社忠和村郎旺店，男子陶文某今叩，呈具事录，於去年兹民所被亲母命中於十二月十一日，未及安葬至拎今年，兹民X得，正月十三日起行孝事，兹民所有老牛壹百轮轿，折足不堪耕作，弘民复乞，将行宰肉，先Ⅹ神灵后行孝事。词放银李看用(节选): 永绥县禎祥总向铭社忠和村郎晃店梁文某记，杜文某并妻等因为家中欠银消用，兹乱得为本社人李文某并妻等家出银六两，放息为杜文某，认取此银将回家消用；直到成泰十六年七月初八，共有8篇词
