Edition & evidence
This is the corrected August working catalogue, not a final physical bibliography. Later September re-readings are presented separately in the GSS research dossier. Dating candidates, locations, interpretations, and unresolved readings are preserved as distinct evidence layers.
The English commentary accompanies the preserved Chinese record. Quoted historical wording and unidentified characters are retained; candidate readings remain provisional.
Working tags
Zhuang writing · Daoist material · Ritual talismans · Hand-drawn illustrations · Purchase / acquisition record
Names and recorded roles
Lu Jingqing (陆景清), with 買錢一千二百, a purchase notation of 1,200; Liang Zhenying (梁振英), with 置 (acquisition / possession). No currency unit is supplied.
Date as written
Copied in the ‘Golden Pig year’ (金猪年).
Dating candidates in the August edition
1851 or 1911; 1911 is more plausible if ‘Golden Pig’ means xinhai and the book is late Qing.
Dating rationale
‘Golden Pig year’ may be a popular five-phase / cyclical-year designation, or simply a folk expression. List 1851 / 1911 only after confirming its equivalence to xinhai. The current material assessment as late Qing could favour 1911 as a working candidate, but cannot settle it.
Confidence in the August edition
Low.
Place formula as written
Not found in the available record.
Historical geography and its limits
The available record contains no place names suitable for reconstructing an administrative hierarchy. Provenance is not inferred from the style of the contents.
Textual features
Mixed Zhuang writing and ritual symbols, including talismans and hand-drawn illustrations.
Analysis in the August edition
For now, this entry is best coded under: Zhuang writing · Daoist material · Ritual talismans · Hand-drawn illustrations · Purchase / acquisition record. Further analysis should first establish the location of inscriptions, ink colour and handwriting, and textual function, then compare independent materials. A single character form, state name, or divine name cannot establish provenance or the direction of transmission.
Evidence limits and unresolved readings
買錢一千二百 more likely records purchase / circulation; 置 does not automatically identify an author either.
