Edition & evidence

This is the corrected August working catalogue, not a final physical bibliography. Later September re-readings are presented separately in the GSS research dossier. Dating candidates, locations, interpretations, and unresolved readings are preserved as distinct evidence layers.

The English commentary accompanies the preserved Chinese record. Quoted historical wording and unidentified characters are retained; candidate readings remain provisional.

Working tags

Zhuang writing · Five- / seven-syllable lines · Buluotuo · Muliujia · Vietnamese annotations · Traditional Chinese annotations

Names and recorded roles

Taigu Hall (台穀堂); disciple with the ritual name Nong Daotong (农道通), followed by 號記 (hao ji).

Date as written

Copying finished at noon on day 15 of the eleventh month in renxu year (壬戌).

Dating candidates in the August edition

1862 or 1922; neither is preferred for now.

Dating rationale

Only renxu is given. Nong Daotong is also named in A29, but a shared name cannot establish mutual dating until identity and handwriting are verified. If the same person is confirmed and the old Tuyên Quang–Tương Yên formula was contemporary with the original copying, 1862 would gain additional support.

Confidence in the August edition

Low.

Place formula as written

Not found in the available record.

Historical geography and its limits

The available record contains no place names suitable for reconstructing an administrative hierarchy. Provenance is not inferred from the style of the contents.

Textual features

Five- or seven-syllable Zhuang lines. Later modern Vietnamese in water-based pen and traditional Chinese annotations indicate at least two reading layers.

Analysis in the August edition

The Zhuang main text, modern Vietnamese in water-based pen, and traditional Chinese annotations form multiple reading layers. They support a mechanism of reactivation and offer future measures of annotation density, pronunciation marking, and types of gloss.

Evidence limits and unresolved readings

Annotations demonstrate later rereading / reinterpretation, not that the underlying manuscript was copied in Vietnam.

Original working transcription · Chinese source

Retained verbatim for comparison. This is the researcher’s transcription, not a verified edition of the complete manuscript.
